Rambam - Legend of a Burial
Although Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (RaMbaM) lived most of his life in Egypt, tradition has it that he was buried in Tveriah.
A report of this burial is found in a sixteenth century source that describes the events leading up to it. Bandits attacked the company transporting the Rambam's casket to Eretz Yisrael and tried to throw the casket into the ocean. Although these more than thirty villains tried to lift the casket they did not succeed. This led them to the conclusion that a holy man was inside and they accompanied the casket to burial in Tveriah.
